Great 1st race but lacking manufacturers that can stay on the road. Is ‘alfa romeo’ coming back to f1. Preview of potential alfa is available at http://www.targ8.com/f1

Am I the only person who considers it wrong that cars and drivers, not finishing the race, should be awarded points. How would it seem if a constructor or driver won the title by one point, and that point was from a race when neither finished.
I have no problem with the placement being moved up by virtue of a disqualification further up the line. But, I really have a problem with the associated points being rewarded. Points should only be awarded when the finsih line has been crossed.
Two years ago, the race between Schumaker and Alonso went down to the last race. Schumaker was in a position to win by one point. A point he earned when he did not finish a race.
This is wrong!
